sfstate.jpgAnother San Francisco State student has been accused of embezzling money from their peers. First, a cheerleader, now a frat treasurer.

The cheerleader, Ashlee Haley, was arrested a couple weeks ago for allegedly taking $20,000 from the team, meant to pay for cheerleading camp, uniforms, and other expenses. She is accused of using the funds for her own personal entertainment, airline tickets, clothing and rent.

Now, University Police are investigating the former treasurer of Alpha Phi Omega Mu Zeta for the possible embezzlement of $3,600.

Alpha Phi Omega, a national co-ed service fraternity, filed a report with the University Police Department that alleged that the theft occurred over the summer when the fraternity would normally be idle.

The faculty adviser, Lorraine Dong, typically becomes involved when there are issues within the fraternity. However, she told the Golden Gate [X]press that she didn’t know about the investigation.

No charges have been filed yet and with the investigation in progress, further details are unavailable.
