According to Bay City News, an elderly woman was crossing the street at Ocean and Miramar an intersection that, according to Google street view, has crosswalks at all points.

According to the SFFD, she was struck by a SF PUC truck at 1:40 PM, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the PUC truck did indeed stop, and was the one who called 911.
