Big props to SF Appeal for doing the homework that the alleged "mainstream Big Jay Journalist Media" never does - figuring out that a line item cost is not necessarily what a media consultant takes home in pay.
It never ceases to piss me off how the "press" whines on and on about "omg someone got a 30,000 dollar mail contract" and never acknowledges that in fact, said Consultant ain't taking 30k home to go buy Hummel Figurines with.
That said, fuck Criswell and Associates for being so un-proud of their work they don't have the balls to be listed on the disclosure forms and say "hey lookit us! we hate gay marriages and are making shitty ads to say so" and instead, hiding behing crap because they don't want Those Of Us Who Live Here to say "hey guess what? you are free to say you hate Gay Marriage. However, WE are free to say fuck you back."
Karma's a bitch sometimes.

Bill C. isn't the only one enjoying the fruits of NOMs bank account. Bill Bayne at Coyote Films has worked closely with Bill Criswell for years, and Jeremy Hooper at goodasyou.org notes that Bayne worked on the NOM "Gathering Storm" clusterfuck of an ad. Bill Bayne has also worked with a number of ultra-conservative candidates to produce their campaign ads. Zach Hammer, lead guitarist with the SF-based band Five A.M. works for Coyote Films. Which makes one wonder why Five A.M. comes off as all socially conscious and righteous. I also wonder why both Criswell and Coyote Films (coyotefilms.net) took down their web sites a couple of days after their involvement in Prop 8 and the BS in Maine came to light. One would think they're ashamed of the fact that they are hurting loving families.

Zach Hammer had nothing to do with this project. Please read his reply to a similar statement made here.
