Take a look at Newsom's interview with Hank Plante at KPIX to judge for yourself whether Newsom's feud with the media is over. Should be on their website. You can bet it won't be on Newsom's web site.

I am a cynic but am encouraged to see the mayor's focus return to urgent city business. However, it is going to be a painful year in the City for those who rely on municipal services. This is the moment when it is tempting to remind people that as much as SF tends to dislike big business, those tax revenues help a lot of people.

@milkcluber: you are right about the Hank Plante interview. Newsom was testy and arrogant with Plante, a veteran who deserves more respect. The off-record crack that Newsom is "amazingly disappointed" on a personal level is uncalled for. We're "amazingly disappointed" with you Mr. Mayor, and as someone who actually voted for you, I 'd have to say I regret that choice in hindsight.
