A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about SF Gate’s copy/paste scripting. Comment responses ranged from “SF Gate cross-scripting = obnoxious/offensive/evil” to “STFU, it’s not a big deal.” For those of you in the former category, I contacted the company responsible for the technology that Gate’s using for a link that will turn off the attribution link on SFGate:

Also of note: the person who sent us this link, Derek Ball of TYNT told me in an email that “SFGate will be putting [the link] in their FAQ area, but I just checked and it isn’t up yet.” HMMM. Perhaps they are too busy helping the Chron go glossy?
