4:57 PM: True sends this final alert, that “as of 4:24 p.m., Laguna Street has re-opened and the 3 Jackson and the 4 Sutter (a peak period route) are on their regular routes.”
3:20 PM: MTA spokesperson Kristen Holland tells us that as of 2:53, power’s been restored to the 3 Jackson line. However, because of the accident, Laguna is still closed between Post and Sutter, and the inbound 3 will continue to reroute around the scene.
2:09 PM: Finally, an accident where we can use “collides” with impunity! MTA spokesperson Judson True says that at 1:26 today, regular service on the 3 Jackson (an electric bus) was disrupted when “a Muni training coach…struck a light pole and a building on Laguna between Post and Sutter,” affecting the overhead wires in the area. (Anyone else having flashbacks to when their Mom tried to teach them to drive a stick shift? Just me? OK.)
True says that there are no injuries reported, and that a motor coach (that is, a bus that’s not a trolley-style) is running the 3 line from Fillmore and Sutter to Downtown, with riders transferring to or from a trolley style bus west of Fillmore.
