munitoken.jpgPeople, look out for the buses! Muni experienced another delay at 11:42 this morning, when a 24 Divisadero was reportedly rear ended by a car at 3rd Street at Oakdale. One 24 passenger and the driver of the automobile were transported to a local hospital, but no other injuries were reported.

Service on the 24 and T-Third was disrupted until about 12:10, as the accident scene blocked northbound service on the T Third as well as the 24’s passage.

As with today’s earlier accident, an alert was not sent out by 511. However, Muni spokesperson Kristin Holland tells the Appeal that “511 does not send out Muni service alerts for non-rail incidents unless they are widespread.”

Which, of course, forces one to wonder what Muni’s intentions for 511 are, if not to communicate delays, or does Muni has another plan in store? When asked about this, Holland replied that she did not have an update on Muni’s plans regarding communications to riders at this time.
