BART turned the TransLink readers on yesterday. I tagged onto BART at 24th & Mission to Embarcadero, and then to Embarcadero to Powell yesterday. I have the August Muni Fast Pass on my card so I wasn't charnged e-cash for any of the rides.
The TransLink readers are the same as the EZ rider readers, hold your card/wallet near the plastic circle and it should work. The handicap accessible gates have the readers located on the side of the gate instead of on the top.

smooth as silk this morning. BOO YEAH!!! I couldn't tell if the balance displayed on my card was correct, though -- will double-check that this afternoon.
