We know how Muni’s trying to improve efficiency, and make it easier for you to pay fares (back door ho!). But friend of the Appeal Plug1 points out one thing that might impede both of those goals: a Muni ticket machine at the Muni Metro stop at Embarcadero and Folsom that Plug1 says has been broken for the last three months.

“You might not be able to see it, but the coin slots are plugged, and there’s a metal plate blocking where you’d insert your dollar bill” he says. “You can still pay on the train, but if there’s a lot of people, like after a ball game, it doesn’t really work. You end up with long waits, or people who just don’t pay, or drivers who just wave people on.”
