Update: The Cable Car Barn pulls through! The Cable Cars are up and running, using a “backup power source” since it looks like the barn’s suffering a PG&E power outage. You can write your own who breaks more, PG&E or Muni joke in the comments.

10:45: If you were planning on a Rice a Roni moment today, you’re out of luck — Muni just alerted us that “As of 10:23 a.m., all cable car lines are out of service because of a power outage at the Cable Car Barn.”

(You gotta love the Cable Car Barn, where the Cable Cars snuggle on piles of hay, girl Cable Cars are milked, and the air is filled with the odor of Cable Car poop.)

They’re trying to figure out the cause of the outage, and serving the lines by bus until it’s resolved.
