Police_patch.jpgIn a conversation with the Appeal, SFPD spokesperson Sgt. Lyn Tomioka has confirmed that the body of a 61 year-old white woman was found in the bushes at the Glen Park BART station today. It had been suggested to us that this death was a suicide, but, as BART police is handling the case, she was unable to either confirm that or provide any additional details.

We’ve left messages with BART, and will let you know what we hear.

UPDATE: A reader contacted us to say that “someone on the (redacted email group) emailed the cops and they confirmed it was a suicide.” We’re working to confirm this with BART and will let you know when we do.

UPDATE: BART spokesperson Linton Johnson confirms that, at present, foul play is not suspected. BART police are presently investigating this death as a suicide.
