If you’re looking for affordable urban clothing, jewelry and accessories for men and women, Urban Sidewalk (218 Columbus Ave.) is the place to go. Not only is everything in the store from California designers, it’s all under $100!
And Urban Sidewalk is sensitive to the needs of its neighborhood. According to Marcus, its owner, the North Beach store had a steady stream of exotic dancers running into his shop just before their shifts, desperate to find something to wear to work.
Though that style of attire wasn’t the store’s focus, Marcus added a section dedicated to the needs of those working girls.
Currently he’s stocking body chains for the gals. The selection of body chains, shown above, is sparse because he had a late night run on them the day before I stopped by.
He’s says he’ll be getting more soon and that he constantly updates all of his stock.
A great store with nice people, meeting the needs of the area in which it’s located. That’s what local businesses are all about.
