sunday.streets.3.11.jpgIt’s officially that time of the year again, where for at least one Sunday a month you’re free to dominate the streets with your feet, bike, skateboard, or any other people-powered mover you’ve got.

This Sunday, March 11th 3.3 miles spanning Fisherman’s Wharf and Mission Bay, from Powell and Jefferson to Terry Francois and Mariposa will be yours for the (car-free) enjoying.

You can see a full list of the official events and activities planned along the route here, but we’d also like to point you towards the Grateful Dogs adoption event at Pawtrero Bath House & Feed Co. (177 Brannan St.) and City Dogs/Bernie’s Dog Grooming, (199 Brannan St.) both just a half block from the Embarcadero. (Disclosure: Appeal editor Eve Batey’s dog is a Grateful Dog rescue.) Eleven dogs will be available for adoption from 11am-2pm.

The next Sunday Streets event is scheduled for April 15, with a new route along the Great Highway and Golden Gate Park.
