Photo taken when: Today, duh.
Where: Stonestown Mall
The “Stonestown Mall iPhone line is long but cordial,” says Bisher, who notes that the Apple store employees have been “handing out Smart Water in the unusual sun and heat” to those waiting to get the (somewhat) anticipated iPhone 4S.
According to SFist’s Brock Keeling, who arrived at a downtown AT&T store at 6 AM to get a (he insisted I specify) “WHITE” iPhone 4S, “the employees were all lined up and applauded as we walked through. Cute!”
He adds that also, “the lines weren’t that long and they died down very right-quick.” Not so at Stonestown, where as of 10:13 AM Bisher reports that employees are “handing out big golf umbrellas to (the) line…say activation is moving real slow due to demand. Line is moving very slowly!”
“Apple employees are helpful and plentiful at the line,” she says “There are even port-a-potties and sinks that are in the parking lot. Ah, the faithful.”
Did you run out to get a new iPhone 4S today, or are you heroically trudging along with a regular old 4 (or something even “lesser)? If the former, how was the scene? If the latter, I stand with you in solidarity.
