Just last Sunday, BART started their first in a series of Seat Labs designed to get passenger feedback as they continue to upgrade and eventually replace their older-than-dirt cars.
BART doesn’t shy away from dating itself, citing that it’s got the oldest running public transit cars in the US and that when they were unveiled, good old Ronald Reagan was still this state’s governor.
Now that BART’s on its way to new a phase in its more than $3 billion upgrade, they’re taking suggestions from everyone on how to make BART a better ride. They first debuted the Seat Lab with passengers who require special accommodations.
As BARTTV reports above, the first Seat Lab was successful in drawing a variety of perspectives to a very important part of public transit.
Wednesday, BART continues on in its nine district series of Seat Labs, visiting SF State from 10am-2pm.
