2010 International Taiko Festival
Want to see mammoth drums played in perfect harmony by troupes of Japanese artists? One of the nation’s foremost Taiko drumming performance groups is holding an annual festival with international performers from around the world. Performances are at 2PM and 8PM at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (701 Mission), see SF Taiko for all the details.
Green Festival
It’s more then just a party for hippies. Visit the 9th annual environmentally friendly fair to experience the best in green shopping, cuisine, education and sustainable innovation. It’s all happening at the SF Concourse Exhibition Center (635 8th Street at Brannan), and I heard there’s going to be some killer afterparties. Tartine (the book) Event
Anyone who has tried Tartine’s incredible bread knows that you could probably never successfully reproduce their baked goods at home, but it’s always worth a try. Join Chad Robertson, author of Tartine Bread, from 1-2 p.m. at Omnivore Books (3885a Cesar Chavez, at Church) to hear him speak about his new foodie project. I hope he brings samples!

Free Entrance to the Asian Art Museum
Still haven’t checked out the biggest Asian Art Museum (200 Larkin, in Civic Center) in the Western hemisphere? Well your in luck, because it’s right here in SF and it’s free this Sunday. Hours are from 10 AM-5 PM.
Janet Jackson dance practice
The Bay Area Flash Mob are a group of vigilante non-pro dancers who have just finished up a run of Michael Jackson’s dances (including Thriller)….and now they’re going to embark on learning his sister Janet’s dances. Flash mob your dance after everyone’s learned it, but first you have to attend practice from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at UCSF, in the alcove next to 400 Parnassus Avenue.
