parking day.jpgOh fun! As Curbed and LiveSOMA and N-Judah, and AggPan remind us, tomorrow (Friday) is PARK(ing) Day, the day that parking spaces all over the city (and beyond) become temporary public parks. All you do is find an empty parking spot, and take it over. (Bring a chair, jeez, are you TRYING to ruin your pants?)

You can see a map of where SF’s are expected to be here (or add your own).

And our nabe bloggers have their own picks: LiveSOMA recommends the park in front of SPUR, AggPan is rooting for Fix Fell to set up shop in front of the oh-so-contentious Arco, and Greg just wants you to piss off “Gate commenter types and the elite who want to hyper-regulate your personal freedom in San Francisco.” It’s hard to argue with that!

What: PARK(ing) Day
When: Friday, August 17
