concert.tickets.jpgYesterday we looked at the role of twitter in solving problems for Ticktmaster‘s recent “glitch” for Guided By Voices fans in San Francisco.

We couldn’t time this any better, folks: This evening, Irving Azoff, CEO of Ticketmaster, and Live Nation Chairman has decided to start using Twitter, according to Bob Lefsetz, music industry icon and founder of the Lefsetz Letter, who has been writing a lot about Live Nation in recent weeks.

Azoff’s first tweet is probably the same thing the rest of his colleagues are thinking year-round:

Emails.
(We’re sure you have tons, Irving!)

But the next, and most recent tweet is all about customer service, and that’s why everyone loves Irving:
“so if you want ticket prices to go down stop stealing music.” Hmmm.

As I’m sure Azoff’s friend Lefsetz will tell him, in order for us to know it’s really him, he’ll have to verify his account, or tell us the password to the Live Nation database.

We look forward to reading more of your missives, Irving Azoff, specifically those in which you tell us something we don’t already know.
