Matt told you about the Exploratorium’s March Madness For The Mind event a while ago — the invention-competition for college-age innovators that Matt decried for its “lack of fiendishness and diabolical intent in the submissions,” asking “What is up with all this humanitarian relief, ecological innovation, and medical break-though? We remember the good old days, when science was mad. MAD I TELL YOU.”
Appeal photog Matt Ghali went out to the event on Saturday, which he says “was basically like a college/postgrad science fair event. So it was kids standing in front of booths with projects on posterboard, but the projects were things like how to solve third world water quality problems, instead of why Twinkies are more delicious than Apple Jacks.” You can see his take on the event, above.
