“Stylish Techies Beware!” warns the invitation to a party next Thursday near the baseball park. They’re calling it “Geek Chic, a monthly lifestyle event,” and it’s for anyone whose lifestyle involves technology, fashion, and having lots of money.

What: Geek Chic
When: Thursday, Dec 3 7-10 PM
Where: K&D, 700 2nd St between Townsend and King
Tickets: $11.24, here.

“This live immersive event provides an unrivaled experience,” the invite continues. Attendees will be live-immersed in free food, free drink, free massages, and a free goody bag. Not literally, of course. That we know of.

The whole shebang has been arranged by Graffiti PR, which describes itself as San Francisco’s edgiest public relations firm, italics theirs. It’s hard to say exactly what “edgy” could refer to in this situation, so we’re just going to assume that it means that there will be a nude woman shaving cats onstage.

Tickets are only $11.24 — what a steal! And in addition to the goody bags, they’re going to be raffling off a wireless steering wheel that comes with an “expandable lap rest.” Which is just the thing for your expandable lap.

Oh, and there will also be a toy collection for Glide Memorial Church, which is actually a very nice thing to do and makes us feel kind of bad for saying anything snide about the party. Oh wells!
