Just wanted to add that these "Bid Idea Night pARTy" events are sponsored and put on by YBCA and center around one of the "Big Ideas" or initiatives of the season. This specific party focused on "Bridging the Gap," which aims to look at "...cultural distance and questions of how to close gaps of understanding and misunderstandings between people, cultures and countries." Thanks for the additional info, Becca! It was a little unclear when I checked the YBCA site.
Either way, I'd say there was some successful gap-bridging last Saturday.
