The fall premiere whirlwind has ended, but there are still a few trickles here and there. Like tonight's two ABC premieres.

Last season, Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton starred in the Fox sitcom, "Back To You." It was a modest hit, but not a big enough hit for Fox, as they canceled it after just one season. I never actually watched the show because, as talented as they may be--and I do think they have some comedic talent--I just can not stand either Kelsey Grammer or Patricia Heaton. I'm not entirely sure why.

Now they're back, albeit on separate sitcoms, airing back to back. At 8 P.M. Grammer stars in "Hank" as a former Wall Street exec who loses his job and must move to a small town in Virginia with his family. Comedy jokes, my friends!

At 8:30 P.M. Heaton stars in "The Middle," which is also set in the middle of nowhere (hence the title), this time in Indiana. She's a harried mom. She has screwed up kids. And her husband is the Janitor.

Of the two, Patricia Heaton's show seems a tad less horrible, but not by much. Needless to say, I don't think these two will be getting a TiVo season pass any time soon.
