I still can't believe they made those no-talent assclowns a headliner. What the hell were they thinking?

I will confess, only to y'all, that I thought Tenacious D was kind of funny. IN 1999. The shit has gotten stale, don't you think?

Weird Al was already booked at a children's hospital in Duluth, MN???

Why not get Casey Kasem and have him reprise his 70's hit "Disco Duck"? It is as timely and funny as anything Tenacious D has created...

Meanwhile - Hardly Strictly Bluegrass - which is FREE - has Lyle Lovett, John Prine, Todd Rundgren, World Party, Dave Alvin (ex-X), Old 97's, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Robyn Hitchcock, and much more. If I were paying to go to one or the other, I'd take HSB.

Not that I don't share everyone's sense of bewilderment and disgust, but we have Rick Dees to thank for Disco Duck .

Casey Kasem is innocent!

For similar reasons, I think I'm going to skip outsidelands, even though it's in my backyard, and save my mullah for the Treasure Island Music Festival. Better artists, better prices.

There are a few bands I'd like to see, but their sets are only 40 minutes. I'm not going to spend $100/day to hear music I don't really like for the majority of the day and then have to deal with the throngs of people that the headliners (who I don't care for) will bring. I'd rather wait until the bands I like come through town, spend $30 and get an 1/12 hour show of the band I like.
