I'm the editor and publisher of the San Francisco Appeal, which means I manage all the day-to-day operations of the Appeal. I used to be the San Francisco Chronicle's Deputy Managing Editor for Online, and started at the Chronicle as their blogging and interactive editor. Before that, I was a co-founding writer and the lead editor of SFist. I've been in the city since 1997, presently living in the Outer Sunset with my husband, two cats and two dogs. You can reach me at eve@sfappeal.com.

Posted Please Excuse Us As We Do Some Site Maintenance to News
Hello, Appeal readers! If you are reading this post, that means we're dead! JUST KIDDING. It means we're doing some long-overdue site maintenance, and that the Appeal as you know it might not be working very well. Yes, you comedian. Worse than usual. Hence the maintenance. Anyway, if this post is up, we're not updating the site -- but that doesn't mean that we're off the clock. Please head over to our Tumblr, at sfappeal.tumblr.com for your Friday morning news, events, and culture. We'll be back in business soon, we promise. We'll let you know on the Tumblr, on Twitter, and on Facebook. Thanks for reading -- if it weren't for all of you, we wouldn't be doing well enough to need maintenance! See you back here later today.
