Commented on Coast Guard Unveils New "High-Tech" Operations Center In SF
Where is it located? A lot of the Coast Guard stuff is on Yerba Buena, and I'd always hoped that they'd phase out their operations there so that the island could be restored to a more natural state, like what's...

Commented on Controversy Swirls Around Second-Graders' Field Trip To Castro

Commented on Cyclist Seriously Injured After Collision With 43 Masonic Muni Bus
Ah, yes, a bicyclist ran into a bus in the Sunset, so it makes perfect sense that buses would be delayed nearly an hour in the Presidio. It's not like Muni has standby drivers and vehicles waiting around for just...

Commented on AT&T vs NIMBYs, Round 2: Telecom Giant Wants to Offer You Cable, But Box-Block Promised (Again)
I do like telecom options, but gosh those boxes are ugly. They couldn't at least make them more attractive? Put a planter on top, or a bird feeder, or turn it into a bench or something?...

Commented on "Temporary" Market Street Closure Could Be Made Permanent Tuesday
Al's quite right -- too many drivers ignore the rules and continue straight down Market. I wouldn't expect any pavement modifications, since they're repaving the whole street in 2015. But a more permanent barricade and better signage would certainly help....

Commented on Your Guide To The Guides: An Overview Of Endorsements For The SF Propositions
Incidentally, my source for the DCCC endorsement is the SF Bay Guardian, since the DCCC does not (to my knowledge) have a website. It is possible that the SFBG is simply incorrect, since their information regarding other endorsements had similar...
