Of course the Yelp hipsters would disapprove of Park Merced. They disapprove of pretty much anything that doesn't fit into their narrow view of the universe. Obviously, many people like Park Merced and what it offers, or there would be no renters.
Your suggestion that no one would want free rent is ludicrous and more worthy of a Yelp Talk troll.
