A homeless man was killed this morning near Kezar Stadium in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, a police spokesman said.
At about 7:30 a.m., police officers responded to the area near the stadium in the southeast part of the park, and found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, San Francisco police Sgt. Troy Dangerfield said.
“It looked like he was assaulted and died from his injuries,” Dangerfield said.
The name of the victim, a transient in his 50s, is not yet being released, according to Dangerfield.
No arrests have been made in connection with the death, and no suspect information was immediately available this afternoon, he said.
