sfpd_squad.jpg10:59 AM: Two men were injured after a dispute ended in gunfire early this morning near San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood, a police spokesman said.

Officers responded to Van Ness Avenue and Sacramento Street at about 1:50 a.m. where they found two men who had been shot, one in the thigh and the other in the foot, San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said.

The two victims had apparently tried to break up a physical altercation among a group of women. Shortly after, another man fired a gun, striking both victims, Esparza said.

The men were transported to San Francisco General Hospital and are expected to survive.

The suspect fled in a white four-door Taurus, according to Esparza.

3:07 AM: Two victims were injured in an early morning shooting near San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood, according to a police dispatcher.

Units responding at about 1:50 a.m. to Van Ness Avenue and Sacramento Street found two victims and transported them to a nearby hospital, a San Francisco Fire Department dispatcher said.

The injuries were non-life threatening, San Francisco police Officer J. Thompson said.

As of 3 a.m., officers were still on the scene investigating the circumstances of the shooting, Thompson said.
