Police-Line-Tape-Do-Not-Cross-psd6657.pngBART police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation into the death of a 22-year-old man found injured at the Civic Center station Wednesday.

Konstantin Tomashevsky was found unconscious at the United Nations Plaza entrance to the BART station early in the morning that day. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he later died, according to BART.

The Berkeley man had suffered traumatic injuries and his death is being treated as suspicious.

According to the San Francisco medical examiner’s office, an autopsy has been conducted, but the official cause of death is pending final results of a toxicology report.

Anyone with information regarding the case or who may have seen Tomashevsky early Wednesday is asked to call BART police (877) 679-7000 ext. 7040. He was found wearing a black and gray Gore-Tex jacket and brown pants, according to BART.
