shooting_nighttime.jpgArmed men robbed two 17-year-old boys sitting in a car in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood Tuesday evening and shot one of them in the neck, police said.

The shooting was reported at 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Bernal Heights Boulevard and Carver Street.

Police said the two boys were sitting in a parked red Honda Accord when three men drove up in a white car, got out with baseball bats and smashed the Accord’s back windshield, then demanded, “Give me all your shit.”

After robbing the two boys of their cell phones, one of the suspects drew a handgun and shot one of the boys in the neck. The suspects then left.

The boys then drove to San Francisco General Hospital. The shooting victim is expected to survive.

The suspects were described as black men ages 18 to 20, wearing black hooded sweatshirts and dark clothing.

Police said the crime is not believed to be gang-related.
