Powell Street Cable Cars Out Of Commission Until Sunday
Regular San Francisco Municipal Railway cable car service on the Powell Street portion of the Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason cable car lines has been disrupted this morning.
A problem with a cable that ended up halting service occurred at about 8:30 a.m., Muni spokesman Judson True said.
Regular cable car service on Powell Street is expected to resume Sunday morning, according to True.
Bus shuttles are serving Powell Street. Passengers going to Fisherman's Wharf from Powell Street are advised to board a shuttle bus and then transfer to a cable car at Powell and Washington streets.
