San Francisco police are investigating the shooting death of a 26-year-old man Thursday night in the city’s Bayview District.
The victim was identified today by the medical examiner’s office as Carley McFarland, a city resident.
McFarland was found shot multiple times in the unit block of Garlington Court at about 6:40 p.m., according to police.
The area is located near public housing and, according to police, has been troubled by violence.
The shooting is the second homicide reported this year by San Francisco police.
