11/25 7:20 AM: Well, the day that AAA claims is among the nation's busiest travel day is upon us, and the local broadcast news (yes, I watch the morning news. I am DEDICATED) is freaking the fuck out, as they do every year. But so far, things seem to be OK on the roads and in the air.

But don't take my word for it -- the only traveling I'm doing today is across town via the N-Judah. I'm reliant on y'all to give us the report from the ground. So, are you traveling today? Do everyone a favor and drop us a line to let us know how it's going. You can comment, email us at editor@sfappeal.com, or text us at 415-685-3832, and we'll update folks right here in this article.

11/24 12:48 PM: Hi, there! I'm at SFO right now, waiting for my father in law in the international terminal. And my advice to you is GO OVERSEAS. While what I could see of the domestic arrivals as I was driving in, the house was mad, but domestic's empty as hell. Like, zombie movie empty.

11/24 9:37 AM: According to this AAA press release that the Chronicle based an article on, 267,000 Californians are projected to be flying this Thanksgiving holiday (an increase of 9% over last year).

According to SFO spokesperson Mike McCarron, SFO's expecting 1.2 million folks to pass through the airport between last Friday and next Monday. He says their busiest days are expected to be Wednesday and Sunday.

I'm headed down to SFO in a couple of hours to pick up my father-in-law, so I'll update and let you know how bad it is, but, until then, any of you flying elsewhere for the holiday? Let us know how it is out there!
