The Examiner and SF State’s paper, the Golden Gate [X]Press have done some follow up work on last week’s shocking story on the death of a man found engulfed in flames at a Sunset gas station.
The victim, identified as 19-year-old Anton Viktor Jungenberg, was a first-semester art major at San Francisco State, who had “suffered from depression in the past.”
According to the SF State article, witness reported that Jungenberg “was pacing back and forth at the bus stop in front of the station around 3:30 a.m. for a few minutes before authorizing a $.53 purchase with his debit card at one of the pumps and drenching himself with gasoline.”
Once discovering him ablaze, gas station personnel called 911. Jungenberg was pronounced dead at the scene.
