Appeal staffer Matt Baume took the above video on Sunday, telling us "I was just on 6th Street and the cops had it blocked off for traffic. After a few minutes, a ton of emergency vehicles drove by, escorting a motorcade of black SUVs with White House logos. One of them had an insignia for WHCA, the White House communications agency. What's going on? Is Obama here?"
A YouTube commenter responded to Matt's video, saying "The vice president was in CA to attend fundraising events for Barbara Boxer."
The Chronicle confirms, saying Biden spoke at $5000 per head Pac Heights fund raiser for Sen Barbara Boxer's re-election campaign, a race in which she is expected to face former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina.
