Chris Daly Wants You To Shop Valencia
A San Francisco supervisor is asking residents to continue to shop along the Valencia Street corridor in the Mission District during a construction project that is now under way.
The Valencia Street improvement project, which will widen sidewalks between 15th and 19th streets, is expected to take about nine months, according to Supervisor Chris Daly's office.
Daly's office said the project will create a more "user-friendly" urban space for pedestrians, bikers and cars.
Businesses along the corridor will remain open during the project and Daly is hoping that the construction activity will not dissuade residents from visiting them.
