Oh! It’s so exciting when we get the *** REVISED MEDIA ADVISORY *** MAYOR GAVIN NEWSOM’S SCHEDULE OF PUBLIC EVENTS FOR MONDAY, JULY 13, 2009. Because capital letters=excitement.

So, what’s the hubbub, bub?

2:30PM
Mayor Newsom and Levi Strauss & Co. CEO, John Anderson, to announce Levi’s
headquarters to remain in San Francisco.
1255 Battery Street, Levi Plaza

That’s right. After a year of “reevaluation”, The jeansmakers have “agreed to renew a more than 400,000-square-foot lease at its Levi’s Plaza headquarters…the long-term lease promises to keep the company’s roughly 1,200 workers at 1155 Battery St. through at least 2021.”

According to the Chronicle, the City launched quite the campaign to keep the company here, including “working with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency to adjust bus and rail schedules to better accommodate the company’s employees.

Well, shit, how about adjusting bus and rail schedules to better accommodate EVERYONE’S employees? We all go to and leave work at about the same time, right? I mean, if it’s THAT easy…

No word yet on if Levi’s has any plans to adjust their fit to better accommodate my rapidly expanding ass.
