Mehserle's Bail Stays at $3 Mil
California Supreme Court voted unanimously to uphold BART policeman Johannes Mehserle's bail of $3 million. Arguing that the bail was set in response to community outrage and not the actual crime, defense attorney Michael Rains said that Mehserle was not a flight risk and did not pose a threat to anyone.
