10:35 p.m.: A man wanted for questioning in connection with a Thursday murder in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood was taken into custody tonight, more than five hours after he barricaded himself in a home, a police spokesman said.

San Francisco police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said officers spotted two men believed to be armed and dangerous in the 1500 block of Kirkwood Avenue at about 3:45 p.m. Police detained one of the suspects, but the second managed to enter a nearby home.

Williams said a SWAT team and hostage negotiation team responded and the second man was detained without incident at about 9:20 p.m.

He said both men who were taken into custody are wanted for questioning in connection with a fatal shooting Thursday at McKinnon Avenue and Third Street.

The victim of that shooting was 28-year-old San Francisco resident Delvon Fields.

6: 28 p.m.: San Francisco police this evening are continuing attempts to make contact with a man who has barricaded himself inside a home near San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said.

The incident began at 3:48 p.m. when the man barricaded himself in a home in the 1500 block of Kirkwood Avenue and a police SWAT team has since responded, according to Williams.

He said the suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous and investigators are working to determine whether the man had any involvement in a Thursday homicide at McKinnon Avenue and Third Street.

Police remained in the area as of 6:15 p.m.

5:45 p.m.: A man has barricaded himself inside a home near San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood this afternoon, police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said.

The incident began at 3:48 p.m. when a man barricaded himself in a home in the 1500 block of Kirkwood Avenue, according to Williams.
