SFPD Investigating Shooting After Witnesses Report Seeing Gunman Run

Police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night in San Francisco’s Mission Terrace neighborhood after witnesses reported seeing a gunman and another woman said that her car was shot at.

At 10:43 p.m., officers responded to the 5000 block of Mission Street on report of a shooting, according to police.

Witnesses told officers they heard gunshots and then saw a male suspect holding a handgun running south on Mission Street.

A woman who had parked her car nearby also told officers that she heard her car alarm and went outside to investigate and saw that her car had been shot at, police said.

Officers searched the area but could not locate a gunman. Additionally, they were unable to locate shell casings from the scene.

No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting, according to police.
