Man Injured in New Year’s Day Shooting

A man was shot multiple times on New Year’s Day in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, police said.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was standing outside in the 900 block of Ellsworth Street when he was shot in the leg and torso around 10:30 p.m., according to police

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

No suspects have been identified in the shooting, which remains under investigation, according to police.
