SFPD Investigating FiDi Bank Robbery

San Francisco police are investigating a bank robbery in the city’s Financial District on Wednesday morning.

The robbery was reported at 11:40 a.m. in the 400 block of Montgomery Street, where the suspect entered a bank and gave a note to a teller demanding money and indicating that he had a gun, police said.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect then grabbed the note back and fled the bank on foot east on Sacramento Street, according to police. No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect, described as a male in his late teens or early 20s, remained at large as of today. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
