One Displaced in Pacific Heights Apartment Fire

An early morning fire displaced one person at an apartment building in San Francisco’s Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood today, according to fire officials.

Shortly after 2 a.m., San Francisco firefighters responded to a report of a fire on the top floor of a seven-story building in the 1700 block of Bush Street, near Gough Street, fire officials said.

Firefighters located the blaze and were able to contain it to one room in the building.

One person was displaced by the fire and received assistance from the American Red Cross, fire officials said.

While no injuries occurred as a result of the fire, one individual was transported to a hospital due to an unrelated medical emergency that apparently unfolded in the building around the same time, according to the fire department.

Fire officials are investigating the blaze and have yet not said what caused the fire to begin.
