Man Suffers Traumatic Brain Injury in Bayview Attack

A male victim suffered a traumatic brain injury early Thursday morning in San Francisco’s Bayview District during an attempted robbery by three male suspects, police said.

At about 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, the victim was walking in the 1500 block of Oakdale Avenue when three suspects approached him and demanded that he hand over money, according to police.

The suspects apparently punched the victim multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground. Once on the ground the suspects kicked him multiple times, causing the victim to lose consciousness, police said.

Officers said the victim was transported to a hospital with a traumatic brain injury.

A gray four-door sedan is associated with the suspects, who fled following the attack and have not been arrested, police said.
