Weekend Watch: Rock the Kasbah, The Last Witch Hunter, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

The Last Witch Hunter
Vin Diesel is a huge nerd who plays Dungeons and Dragons and that’s really, sincerely great, and this movie (where Diesel plays the titular last witch hunter) hopefully just sets the stage for the one true adaptation of Dungeons and Dragons where Vin Diesel portrays Gary Gygax in a Goosebumps-styled adaptation of the source material.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
There is at least an honesty in having an honest-to-Cthulhu Paranormal Activity movie in the theater, and not one from the producers of Paranormal Activity. The found footage scare fest goes where no found footage movie goes, and that’s with a g-g-g-g-g-ghost camera?

Jem and the Holograms
This movie is about anything else than what Jem and the Holograms was about. Have fun on behalf of your childhood self, getting your memories sullied and ruined, nerds!

Rock the Kasbah
Society’s whimsical uncle Billy Murray stars as a washed-up music manager in this music-comedy-road-trip-movie-but-in Afghanistan, and I’m not entirely sure what to make of it. Homeland, with more musical numbers?
