7 People Injured By Weekend Gunfire, Including 3 Injured In Downtown Robbery

Seven people were injured by gunfire in Oakland over the weekend, including three people wounded during a downtown robbery early this morning, according to police.

A 32-year-old man was shot during a robbery in the 1300 block of Webster Street reported at 4:04 a.m. today, police said.

The man’s car had been broken into, and while the victim was inspecting the damage he was approached by two other men who robbed and shot him, police said.

The gunfire also injured a woman in her 40s in a passing car and a 22-year-old man in the area, police said. All three victims went to a hospital and were reported to be in stable condition.

A shooting Sunday night in West Oakland also injured three people, police said.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 900 block of Kirkham Way at 9:43 p.m. and found a 37-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Two 27-year-old men also injured by gunfire there took themselves to a hospital. All three were in stable condition this morning, police said.

Another victim was injured by gunfire on Saturday morning. He was riding a bicycle in the 1600 block of 83rd Avenue when he heard gunfire at 7:23 a.m., police said.

The victim noticed he had been shot and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The suspects in the three shootings remain at large, police said.
