A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck an area near Fremont this morning, according to a preliminary report by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake struck around 2:41 a.m., according to the USGS. The earthquake’s epicenter was located just 1 mile north of Fremont and 1 mile southeast of Union City, the USGS said.
So far there have no reports of any injuries or damages in the Fremont and Union City area, according to the Fremont Police Department’s Twitter page.
