Crash Sends One to Hospital with Life-Threatening Injuries, Damages Cafe

The driver of a car was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a car crash in San Francisco this evening, according to preliminary information from the San Francisco Police Department.

The car exited eastbound Interstate Highway 80 at Seventh and Bryant streets and crashed into at least two other vehicles, police said. One or more of the vehicles crashed into Caffe Roma at 885 Bryant Street, according to police and a staff member of the café.

No one else was hurt, police said. The Caffe Roma staff member said the café was closed today.

Police said they have yet to determine the cause of the crash.
