Oakland Man Killed in Drive-By Tenderloin Shooting

A 30-year-old Oakland man was killed in a drive-by shooting in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early Saturday morning, according to police.

The shooting was reported at 1:10 a.m. in the 500 block of Larkin Street.

The victim, identified today by the medical examiner’s office as Ramone Cruz, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The suspect or suspects fled in a vehicle described as a late-model SUV, police said. No arrests had been made in the case as of this morning.
