A 19-year-old man was struck in the thigh by a bullet shot from a silver vehicle in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Sunday morning, police said.
According to San Francisco police, the shooting occurred at about 10:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Cashmere Street near Hudson Avenue.
The victim was walking on the sidewalk when a silver vehicle described as a newer SUV or van approached, police said.
An occupant of the vehicle fired a handgun, striking the victim in his thigh. Police said the victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
No arrests have been made in the case and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, police said.
